The Old Man, a two painting series
One class I took studying at Boston University's pre-college fine art program was oil painting. We had this male model sit for us, and I produced two paintings of him. This one is zoomed in on his face, and the other which I call "The Old Man from Far-Away" shows the setting he is sitting in. However the painting styles of both are different.
With this piece, I focused on saturating colors and brush stroke. The interesting thing about oil, instead of acrylic which I mostly worked with, is that the paint is wet longer. I was experimenting with layering brushstrokes and paint to create texture.

Observational, oil on canvas, 14" x 11"
