AM is powered in the A.M.
I have always been one for setting personal challenges, and waking up at 4:30 A.M. to make swim team practice by 5:00 A.M. — 12 months a year — was no exception. The intensity of the sport and the commitment needed to compete at a high level, taught me the value of a disciplined work ethic. It pushed me to give everything I had, and along the way, helped me develop critical time management and organizational skills.
Similar to my passion for swim is a love for fine art and design. I draw on the techniques and perspectives acquired from painting, such as concept creation, composition and creating color palettes and patterns, to develop individual and eclectic brands. My expertise is focused on branding and package design, but my interests and experience touch on other disciplines of design, such as editorial to web, exhibition, and advertising.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University, where I received a BFA in Communications Design and a minor in art history. During my university years, I had the opportunity to intern at Boston Design Guide and Bain & Company’s Brand Studio Team during the firm’s major brand refresh.
I started my career as a Junior Packaging Designer for mens apparel and fashion at Grey Matter Concepts in New York City, but have since been promoted to Packaging Designer. I design packaging and displays for various brands, while also gaining insight into the actual production processes involved.
As well as designing packaging and displays, I organize and create new artwork that aligns with various brands but now specifically all Workwear brands. I work closely with factories and the production team for approvals and create mockups by hand with folded garments. I managed a team of freelancers to assist with projects, and have been training the new team on the company's systems and processes.
